Spring!

The first picture is from today and the second picture is from Tuesday! They are both shots of the beaver lodge, just slightly different angles. What a difference a few warm days will make. A few Mallard pairs as well as Wood Ducks, all of whom are adept at hiding when I pull out the camera. This fellow surprised me!Also saw a Bluebird (below) and a Brown Creeper, Hawk, and Redwinged Blackbirds.

  1. Oooh - that little bird perched in the last pic is SO tiny. How cute! And that turtle ... He let no sunshine go wasted did he?! :)

  3. Swamp and greening up, missing New England spring. It is getting green around here but have been told the next color will be brown

  4. Ahh-signs of Spring! Sounds like you've been keeping your eye on the birdies. I can't wait for the weekend again so I can do the same. I've been seeing lots of beaver lodges but no beavers.I wonder what they do in the winter? I'll have to read up on that.

  5. Just wanted to pop in here & use this opportunity to say hi to Vince & let him know that New England misses him too! Looking forward to the day when our (very!)colorful kayaking "club" can venture out together again. Keeping him close in our thoughts & prayers until then.
